Privacy & Security

This page is maintained by SpotlessHub to answer common questions about how we handle your data. It is not an independent certification or legal audit.

What we collect

Account data: name, email, and phone number when you sign up. Hosts may optionally add property addresses and cleaner contact details.

Job data: cleaning schedules, room checklists, task completion status, and photos uploaded by cleaners to verify quality.

Usage data: we do not use third-party analytics cookies. Basic server logs may record page requests for operational troubleshooting.

How we use your data

We use your data only to operate the service: scheduling jobs, sending notifications, enabling host–cleaner collaboration, and resolving support requests.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

Access & authentication

SpotlessHub uses email/password or Google OAuth sign-in. Sessions are managed via secure tokens. Row-level security policies restrict data so users can only access records they own or are explicitly assigned to.

Cleaners can only see properties they are actively assigned to. Hosts can only see their own properties, bookings, and invited cleaners.

Data protection

Data is stored in a managed cloud database with encryption at rest and in transit. Backups are retained for operational recovery. We rely on our platform provider for infrastructure security and availability.

Photos uploaded by cleaners are stored in object storage with access controlled by signed URLs and user-scoped permissions.

Retention & deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active so you can access historical jobs and reports. If you delete your account, personal identifiers are removed in accordance with our platform provider's data deletion capabilities.
